Overview

This site is the official ShipOps documentation portal for platform concepts, infrastructure architecture, networking, security, and deployment workflows.

What ShipOps Does

ShipOps is an infrastructure builder that helps turn an application or business project into a fault-tolerant cloud service.

The project you want to provide as a cloud service with ShipOps includes not only scalable business logic and fault-tolerance features, but also build tools, monitoring, and secure access to administration systems. ShipOps creates a self-contained infrastructure from the start, with the ability to grow from a startup for a small team into a full-scale enterprise service for millions of users.

Core Infrastructure Requirements

To create the infrastructure, you need at least a pair of servers joined into a shared private network. These servers can be rented from a cloud provider or otherwise provided to ShipOps.

Where to Start

If you are new to ShipOps, continue with Concepts to understand the core platform entities, then review Cluster, Kubes, and Network and Security for the main operational building blocks.
