Dedicated Type

This type is intended for public clusters where TLS certificates are configured using SHIPOPS tools. This method requires one or more network interfaces with public IP addresses.

When to Use Dedicated

For these IP addresses, you must create A records with your DNS provider for the domain name used by the cluster. If several IP addresses are used, for example one for each system node, DNS balancing will be applied.

Dedicated for Service Clusters

This type can also be used for a service cluster if it was created with only one system node, that is, in cost-saving mode. In this case, this type is preferable to Metal (see Metal Type), which is intended for service clusters, because Metal's fault-tolerance benefits are not used in this configuration and the Metal software will consume server resources without practical benefit.

When using Dedicated for a service cluster, specify the only IP address of the private network interface.
